Love You For You

All to often we get wrapped up in the babble and forced ideals of social media, movies, magazines, and music. It encourages us to squish ourselves into the perfect cookie cutter mold. What we forget is that we aren’t meant to be all alike, we were created to be different. Each person is like a snowflake, no two are alike.

Your body is so different from that of your neighbors, or that supermodel on the magazine cover. I am not just talking about looks here. I mean on a cellular level while we all have the same organs and muscles, we are all designed to work just a little bit different from each other. That means the butt blaster workout on Instagram may not work for you, or that trendy fad diet your favorite celeb lost 50 lbs on may not work for you either. We all have different cellular needs. We are all that math formula in high school that you put that one wrong value into and got a totally different number. We need to learn to embrace our selves for who we are, and learn to work with the body we have. Does that mean you have to love every inch of your body and that it’s wrong to want to change it, No, but it does mean that we have to learn to be realistic as to what it is our bodies can do.  We all have lumps and bumps and rolls that we don’t like, but they are a part of us and we need to come to terms with that.I encourage you to strive for your Health, not for looks. You can be healthy and still have that little layer of marshmallow fluff. Health isn’t a six pack, or a rocking booty. Health is cellular, are you getting enough water, sleep, quality food and exercise? That is health. Your body as a whole is health. Work on making yourself healthy and I think you will find that you will be much happier and more in love with you.
