What’s Your Excuse?

We all make excuses for things we don’t accomplish, whatever those things may be, our fitness for example.   We put the blame on those excuses, so that we don’t have accept that we are the reason we failed.

Consider this,  when we use the excuse “I don’t have time to workout,” what we are actually saying is, “I don’t have time for  my self, or my health.” When you make the excuse, “I eat fast food because it’s convenient,” what we are saying is “I don’t want to waste time on my health.”

So what we need to do is make time, make time for ourselves, make time for our health and therefore make time for our lives to last longer and be fuller.

Don’t read this wrong, sometimes life can throw you curve ball that messes with your entire plan, however what we need to have is a contingency plan. Whether it’s some meals we’ve made and frozen so we can grab and go, or a body weight workout we can accomplish at home in 30 minutes.

There are so many ways to better your life and the first step is taking responsibility for your own actions. If you are hitting a road block and you don’t know how to get around it, ask for help.

As personal trainers we work first hand with clients and their excuses, we’ve probably even heard every excuse in the book, including our own. That said we can work with you and teach you ways to improve yourself.

You only get one life and you’d be surprised how good you’ll feel if you spend some of your time on your body and it’s needs. How much time are you willing to waste on excuses?
